The Mission
The mission of Village Calvary Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
The Vision
To help you GROW in your relationship with the Lord, CONNECT with your church family through authentic relationships and fellowship. SERVE God and the church body discovering and using your spiritual gifts. BUILD up the Kingdom of God through sharing the love of Christ in our community, supporting world-wide missions, and helping small-town churches.
Values
Teaching the Bible
God's Word is our only authority and source of knowing God. Therefore, it is to be exalted and taught in everything we do.
Relationships
God made us to be in community and when we are, we grow. Our desire is that everyone finds where they best fit so they can grow in their relationship with their Savior Jesus Christ and with the family of God.
Pastoral Development
Part of our mission is to help facilitate raising men who are called into the pastoral ministry. Each week, we offer two services—Tuesday’s Preaching Lab and Wednesday’s Training Ground—dedicated to training young men in pastoral ministry: teaching, shepherding, care, logistics, and more. Come grow closer to the Lord and encourage these men in their calling.
Small Town Church Support
Being small-town pastor can be difficult and lonely. As part of our outreach, we have the privilege to support Colorado and Wyoming small-town pastors. This can include Sunday visits to their churches, taking them to dinner, praying with them, and occasional pulpit supply.
Service
We have the privilege to serve an awesome God out of gratitude and joy for how he's transformed our lives. Because of that, we believe that all believers should use their gifts to serve others, the church, and our community.
Our Neighborhood
We care about sharing the love of Jesus with our community. Throughout the year we hold free community events such as a carnival, Harvest Fest, Vacation Bible School, and Easter egg hunt.
Statement of Faith
Scripture
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18
God
We believe in one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things.
Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Revelations 4:11; Hebrews 1:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6
Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Revelations 4:11; Hebrews 1:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6
The Father
We believe in the person of God the Father, an Infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true Man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate, and in the person of the Holy Spirit, He indwells the believer.

Holy Spirit
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and to convict, regenerate, seal, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower for life and service.
John 16:6-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:9; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 5:18; 1 John 2:20-27.

Mankind
We believe people were created in the image of God but fell into sin and are therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

Salvation
We believe the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.

The Church
We believe the true Church is composed of all such persons who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ. We believe they are united together in the Body of Christ, of which He is Lord and Head, and are commissioned for the God given task of proclaiming the Gospel to every person. Every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs in accordance with Biblical standards. We believe the local church must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority.

We believe that baptism of believers by water immersion and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church.

Christ's Return
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. Mark 13:32; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:3;

Judgment
We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, eternal life with everlasting blessedness, and joy of the righteous and endless suffering for the wicked.

Marriage
We believe God designed marriage as a sacred institution ordained by Him to be a life-long commitment of spiritual and physical union of one genetic male and one genetic female for the happiness of mankind and the propagation of the human race. We believe that sexual relations are God’s design for procreation, intimacy, and pleasure, but are to be practiced only in a marriage relationship. We also believe that God offers grace and renewal to those who have experienced failed marriages or have fallen into sexual sin.
