FAQ's
We know that coming to a new church can be overwhelming, but we want to put you at ease by helping answer as many questions before hand as possible.
How long is service?
Our Sunday morning service is 90 minutes.
Tuesdays range from 45-60 minutes.
Wednesdays range from 60-90 minutes.
We start with singing and prayer time. After you'll hear a sermon from our pastor or, on occasion, a guest speaker. At the end of our service, we create space to respond to God's invitation and come into His presence just as you are. To get a feel for our teaching style, check out some of our past sermon.

What can I expect when I show up?
All of our songs, prayers, and teachings come from the Word of God.
We believe worship should involve joyous and upbeat songs of praise, times of quiet awe and prayer, an opportunity to hear God's Word, and a time to respond in faith and obedience.
While we do not do anything during service to call you out as new, when you come to Village Calvary you can expect to be greeted and welcomed by people excited that you are here.
Feel free to come in, grab a free drink and donut, and find a seat.
After service, fill out a connect card and stop by our connect table for a welcome packet, which is our gift to you for visiting.

What is your music style?
Our music is lead by our worship team and accompanied by a live band. You will find that everyone at Village Calvary worships in their own way. This might mean singing, clapping, raising their arms or quietly reflecting on the scriptural lyrics.
People ask, "What style of music do you do at Village Calvary?" Blended? Eclectic? Cutting Edge? The truth is we're not any one of those but rather all those and much more. You'll hear songs from the Christian radio, classics from the past, and even a hymn or two. So, if you like variety, relevant and God-honoring lyrics, you'll love Village Calvary worship.

Where do my children go during service?
We love children and want them to know how loved they are by God.
On Sundays, we have four classrooms for school age children and use Life Ways Project Gospel curriculum, which focuses on pointing our children to what Christ did for them on the cross and on having a relationship with God rather than pushing morality.
However, it is up to the parents whether you want your child to sit with you in service or attend Children's Church.
Children's church check in begins at 9:50am.
When you arrive, you'll find our children's check-in table to your left. A friendly volunteer is there to help if needed.
GRADES 6-12
Our Village Calvary Student Ministry is for grades 6-12. On Sundays all teens stay in service during the worship music. After the music time, students are invited to head upstairs for a time of fellowship and preaching from our Student Ministries Pastor.
We also offer a Wednesday night youth group at 6:00pm. The evening begins with a time hanging out and eating dinner together. After there's either a time of games and fellowship or a focused time of worship music, teaching, and group discussion.
The aim is to grow teens in their relationship with Jesus and knowledge of the Bible, as well as how to live out the gospel every day.

What should I wear?
You can expect to see a wide range of clothing styles from business casual to very casual. Wear what you makes you feel comfortable.
Do you offer adult Sunday school classes?
We have Sunday school classes called Discovery Hour held at 8:45 am before the main service.
This is a great time to dive deeper into topics in God's word through teaching and discussion in a smaller setting.
We also offer adult life groups that meet during the week, as well as men's and women's Bible studies on Saturday mornings.

Why are your weekly services called training ground and preaching lab?
Part of our calling as a church is to build up men who are called to preach the Word of God and one day pastor a church. Because of that, we give several men in our church the chance to practice their preaching skills and receive feedback from our executive pastors.
Preaching Lab: At this service you'll find brand new speakers who are both elders, pastors, and members of our church learning and grow in the skill of teaching the Word. Because many of them are so new, these services tend to be shorter but no less insightful.
Training Ground: At this service we have a consistent rotation of four pastors, and a few members of our church who teach. These men are more seasoned in their preaching so our service lasts up to 90 minutes.
If you have more questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our lead Pastor Craig.
