A Call to Repentance & Judgment
The books of Jonah and Nahum are two of the most unique books in the Bible because each book is about God and a city that no one expected, the city of Nineveh. Nineveh is an Assyrian city that like the nation of Assyria was a wicked and evil place. Although Nineveh was Assyrian and wicked God still called them to repent. In each of these books we see a call to repentant and the response to the call of the Lord.
The book sheds light on many questions we have. Questions about sin and repentance, about how God deals with unbelievers, how the Lord desires the wicked to repent and turn to Him, and final how the Lord responds to the full rejection of Him and His call.
