Forever Connected

What does it truly mean to thrive as believers in a world that constantly pulls us toward self-centeredness? This message from 1 Peter 1 takes us on a journey through one of the most profound and humbling truths of the Christian faith: that God, before the foundation of the world, knew exactly what loving us would cost him, and he chose to create us anyway. The central passage reminds us that Christ was foreknown before creation but made manifest for our sake, and that reality is not just an intellectual exercise. It is deeply emotional. It tells us that God entered into pain willingly, with full knowledge of our sinfulness and our tendency to disappoint him, and still breathed life into us. Just as a widower who has lost a beloved spouse would never say he wished he had never married, God never regrets choosing to love us. That kind of love reframes everything about how we see ourselves and how we are called to live.
